Valentine’s Day rant

Oh, Valentine’s Day, the day of love and being a couple. Actually, I refer to it as, “Oh look, I’m single!” day. Seriously. Not that it bothers me because I think Valentine’s Day is overrated anyway. You should always tell your significant other that you care about them, not just on this day when they hike up the prices of chocolates and flowers and crap.

Lots of people at school are getting all worked up about being single on Vday, and they start scrambling around, desperately seeking a boyfriend/girlfriend. I mean, I’m sure they’d take anybody. In my opinion, it shouldn’t work that way, and it’s unfair to the other person. Basically, if you’re desperate around this time, you only want to date  that person just to have somebody to date on Vday, and you actually have no feelings for them.

Or maybe it’s just the people at my school. The majority of them are jerks anyway, so I guess it’s expected behavior. It’s fine for somebody to feel lonely on Vday (with the atmosphere of couples all around you, but Vday lands on a Sunday this year), but being desperate is unacceptable, in my opinion.

I’m not saying I don’t want a relationship. Of course, I’d only accept one from one person (V, ha), but that doesn’t mean I’m sad that I’m single. Although, the atmosphere of all the couples at school does tend to get annoying. Especially when I’m around my friends when they’re with their boyfriends. I get uncomfortable at times… it’s awkward. xD

Back on subject. I might sound like a hypocrite, but I’ll try to explain what I mean in bullets:

• Don’t be depressed about Vday if you aren’t in a relationship.
• Don’t go seeking out a relationship solely for the purpose of having somebody on Vday
• If you’re single, be happy! You’re FREE. Bahaha.

Eh, I guess I’d prefer being in a relationship, though. But I’m not going to go cry about it like some girls at my school would, haha.

Epic snow fun

Hello there! I’ve had, so far, a five day weekend because of snow. It’s been awesome, and somewhat painful. I got some scratches when I flew off my sled (literally… I was going down backwards), and then some when it got caught in the ice (and I continued going when the sled stopped). It’s great to sled on because after it rained the water froze, so everything is ice instead of snow.

SEE?! Pretty. Ice frozen onto pines… very pretty. I’m going to go sledding again later, so hopefully the ice won’t melt by then. I’ll be a sad person. :’( I love the snow so much.

Right then. Progress on the new Ekaya is, so far, pretty good. I gotta code the layout in WordPress, and then I need to import my posts and junk. I haven’t done anything with my writing. I know, I fail at life, but I’m having too much fun in the snow. Plus, it’s project time again at school, and I’ve been procrastinating by playing my Nintendo DS, which I’ve neglected for quite a long while. I still have the first version of it, baha. And guess what game I’m playing… POKEMON. YES.

Have I ever mentioned I freaking LOVE Pokemon?! Because I do. Reason #1: It’s an important part of my childhood (haha). Reason #2: IT ROCKS. Don’t be hatin’ on Pokemon. I might have to strangle you. Bahaha, just kidding. Oh, and for some reason, that reminds me. I don’t think I bothered to ever mention that my CP username was Emtek77. Well, it is, if you didn’t know/hadn’t figured it out. This piece of information could either bring out bad memories or good ones, baha.

Either way, I’m still Emily. And if you hated me back in the old Club Penguin days, good for you. I deserved to be hated. Not so much now, though. Haha, I take that back. Whatever, I just thought it’d be a good thing to share. ^_^ TO THE SNOW.

(… and my question is, how does Pokemon relate to Club Penguin? I’ll never know.)
